I had a dream of a fat South Indian lady; she's a door-to-door saleswoman who is trying to sell pressure cookers. I can't remember the exact price, but we bought one from her. Then she again came to our house to sell the pressure cooker; this time she tricked my mom to buy two pressure cookers from her for an expensive price. When I got to know about it, I chased that saleswoman to give back the money, but she refused. So I chased her until she gave back the money. I even hit her with a long stick because she was running over our family car. Though the stick was kind of wobbly and tiring to hit her, I still tried hard to hit her. She was definitely in pain. Then one middle-aged man came to us; he seems to be a partner of that saleswoman. He promised to give us back the money. We demanded the money be returned immediately, so he gave back the money right away. That lady was kind of looking sad and regretful. Me and my father were checking the car; the top of the car was dull of dents because of that lady running over the car. The paint over the bonnet of the car was coming off because of the dents; the roof of the car was bent inwards. I tried to straighten up the dents with my hands, and I couldn't help but scold that lady because of the damages she made to our car; she was looking sad meanwhile. Then my father took us in the car somewhere; I think he took the car for a body shop.
Dreams can often symbolize our subconscious thoughts, feelings, and experiences. In your dream, various elements stand out that can be interpreted in different ways:
The Saleswoman: The fat South Indian lady who sells pressure cookers may represent someone or something in your life that feels overwhelming or burdensome. A saleswoman often symbolizes persuasion or influence, suggesting that you may feel pressured by someone or something to make a decision that you are not entirely comfortable with. The pressure cookers could symbolize the potential for stress or things that need to be managed in your life.
Chasing for Money: Your act of chasing the saleswoman for the money represents a desire for justice or a need to confront issues in your life. It may reflect feelings of being swindled or taken advantage of, whether in monetary terms or in relationships. This chase highlights a sense of urgency and determination to reclaim what is rightfully yours.
Violence and Regret: The act of hitting the saleswoman might symbolize feelings of anger or frustration you have pent up inside. The fact that you felt tired doing so may indicate that even though you feel the need to confront these issues, it takes considerable energy or effort, and there's a recognition that violence is not the ideal solution. Her sadness and regret might reflect your own mixed feelings about the confrontation—understanding that while you want to express your discontent, you also feel compassion for the other person's situation.
Damaged Car: The state of the family car—with dents and paint coming off—could represent your feelings about your family's dynamics or your own self-image. Cars in dreams often symbolize control and how one navigates through life. The damages to the car may reflect the emotional or structural damage caused by the situation with the saleswoman, symbolizing how external pressures or conflicts can affect your personal life or family relationships.
Resolution: The eventual return of the money and the trip to the body shop suggests a resolution to the conflict. It indicates that while confrontation may be necessary, there’s also a path to healing and restoration. This part of the dream signifies hope for repair and moving forward after facing challenges.
Overall, this dream might reflect your concerns about feeling exploited or manipulated in some area of your life, and the challenges you face in asserting yourself and navigating those pressures. It encourages self-reflection on how you deal with conflicts, emotional burdens, and the state of your personal relationships.
